Hunter Keith

We thought this might be the fastest and easiest way to share our exciting family news. Saunya went in on Tuesday morning and little Hunter was born at 2:45 pm on Tuesday afternoon after about 4 hours of labor. He was 8 pounds 11 ounces and 20 inches long. Surprisingly, it was our best delivery and recovery - who would have guessed it - but we feel very blessed!! Saunya felt so great that she only stayed 1 day in the hospital but the kids still had just enough time to get out of school for an hour to go see the baby at the hospital. Hunter is definitely well loved and the center of attention with the older kiddos. They can't get enough.
We also wanted to thank EVERYBODY for so much love and support for our family over the last several months. We have truly been blessed by great friends and we know it!!! At 3 days old, baby and Mom are doing fine, just waiting for Hunter to get those days and nights switched around. Thank heavens for Grandma who is a self proclaimed "night owl." She is a miracle worker on many levels who can really do it all and we love her! Mom and baby won't be getting out much but feel free to pop in and say Hi if your in the neighborhood. (As long as you don't care about the PJ's - HA!)

Thanks again,
Roy, Saunya & Family

update from the homefront..

The Wright's summer has been busy busy busy. The Tatton clan came by for a week and hit the beach, the sea lion caves, and much more! It is of course berry season and green bean season and tomato season so they having been canning and freezing and dehydrating up a storm! Their food storage has been growing by the minute and Saunya is actually counting down the days until school starts. I belive her last count was 16 days and 9 hours! :).. in a few weeks is her ultra sound to finally know for sure that this baby is a boy!.. I swear it is a boy becuase she sent BLUE berries to announce it.. if she would have sent red strawberries... well then it must have been a girl.. but of course it is a boy! I am not the only one who thinks so, Hyrum also thinks it is a boy becuase that is how the pattern goes, first Daddy was a boy and them Mommy was a girl and then David a boy, then Karen a girl, then Hyrum a boy, then Brianna a girl, so (for those of you who never watched Sesame Street) this baby must be a boy!... We will see! I will set up a poll on this blog so everyone can take their vote!.. You only have a week to vote!

Scout Camp

Roy and David left this week for Scout camp. My husband and oldest son (i.e. my most helpful child) gone for a whole week! What's a girl to do? I'm obviously proud of David for going to scout camp, and he was way excited to go. I'm also supportive of Roy who couldn't be a better a better father or more service oriented member of the church. But I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Here's to a quick week!

District Pine Wood Derby

David took 1st place at district - Yeah! We are ALL still happily in shock. I know you are all getting together today, so I thought if I sent this, maybe somebody might look at their Email. Just some fun pictures from about an hour ago. How fun is that. There were about 70 cars that raced. He can go to state now but we probably won't if its too far. Anyway, just wanted to pass the good news along. Love, Roy and Saunya

On the oregon front..

They now have three birds becuase the original bird died and then Karen wanted one, so then David wanted anther one and then of course Saunya wanted one so now they have three. :)

David's pine wood derby went well.. he won! And is two years undefeated. Hyrum's one 6 races! I think they have learned the art of car making...what do you think?

Saunya is going crazy like always enjoying her calling in scouts... I think she is in her element!

There garden is coming along... they have spending more and more time outside getting the raspberries and planter boxes ready! Its gonna be a good harvest!

Has anyone else heard any news from the Wright house?
